The boat s fully equipped and has proven well with two Atlantic crossings with small crew or single handed. The Tradewind 25 is still built in the Netherlands in high quality.

INTERIOR According to the classic design the interior is in white and teak. Portholes, skylight and hatches make for good light and a colling breeze in fore and main cabin. The head is a Jabsco toilet with holding tank, shower and sink. The galley has a propane stove with oven and a sink. A 150L fresh water tank is in the keel. In the main cabin with 188cm headroom there is a solid foldable table, nav station and a fully operational fridge. There is easy access to the engine under the main companionway. A stainless fuel tank takes 60L of Diesel, additional storage options for up to 70 litres in the cockpit lockers.

NAVIGATION AND ELECTRONICS

ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS Designed for simple and mostly independent power supply. Three solar panels (100W max) and new 240Ah (3x80Ah) AGM consumer batteries (2016) give sufficient power for running the fridge and basic instruments (in Mediterranean summer and tropical conditions). The engine charges via an alternator and separating diodes the consumer bank as well a a 70Ah starter battery (2017).

SAILS AND RIGGING According to the classic design of the hull the ship is a gaff-rigged cutter with wooden mast, spars and bowsprit. The headsails are with roller reefing, the mainsail is also for single handling easy to hoist and to reef. A topsail can be hoisted above the mainsail. DECK AND HARDWARE Solid stanchions and life lines. Generously dimensioned, well protected and safe cockpit. A sprayhood and bimini keep off rain and spray. Both sides of the cockpit have large lockers as storage for tools, lines, etc.
